Hack Manhattan is a community hackerspace in New York City where people come together to work on projects and share knowledge. We are centrally located near many subway lines in the Union Square neighborhood of Lower Manhattan. Our space has tools and materials for working on electronics, wood, metal, textiles and 3D printing.
New?
If you are new to Hack Manhattan or hackerspaces in general, feel free to introduce yourself on our mailing list and stop by one of our regular open nights, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm.
A great way to participate is to bring your own project to work on, and also walk around and ask others about their project.
If Tuesdays or Thursdays are not convenient for you, ask on the mailing list and a member can probably give you a tour another time.

You’re much more likely to get help and a response if you subscribe to our discussion mailing list and ask there, or stop by on Tuesday evening.
We are a cooperative with a DIY, collaborative ethic, and not a formal service agency. If you would rather pay someone to do your project, join the list, introduce yourself, describe your project and then make private, individual arrangements with whoever expresses interest. Hack Manhattan as an organization neither has formal involvement with nor takes responsibility for these arrangements.
